The Natural Landscape of San Biagio Saracinisco
San Biagio Saracinisco is positioned on the very edge of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. To the north lie the Mainarde Mountains, dominated by Monte Forcellone (2030 metres). The village is surrounded by numerous rocky peaks: Monte Meta, (2,241 metres) Monte Mare (2,020 metres), Monte Cavallo (2,039 metres) Monte Cavio (1,699 metres) and Monte Santa Croce.
San Biagio Saracinisco overlooks the scenic gorge of the Valle delle Foci through which flows the torrent of the Mollarino, a tributary of the River Melfa. There are numerous hiking trails through the local woods, pastures and mountain sides.
