Via Giacinto Visocchi
From Piazza Garibaldi leads the narrow street named Via Giacinto Visocchi. On the corner stands the former palace of the Senator Giacinto Visocchi, a member of a notable family of Atina. The historical residence has in recent years undergone extensive restoration and has been converted into a stylish hotel named the Palazzo del Senatore. Via Giacino Visocchi leads downhill towards the Medieval gateway of Porta Santa Maria that leads in Via Planca. Here, also, the remains of the old town walls can be seen. Descending further the street eventually joins Via Virilassi where there is a shrine dedicated to San Padre Pio.
