Via San Nicola

At the junction at Piazza Garibaldi is Via San Nicola. Adjacent to the Convent of San Francesco, in Largo San Rocco, is Atina’s War Memorial. Here some steps lead up to the natural park and hill of Santo Stefano. Also in Via San Nicola is the imposing  17th century palace of the Sabatini family. This has its own private Chapel of San Rocco which is only open to the public on special occasions. Eventually as the road veers to the right you will arrive at the small Church of San Nicola. Continuing onwards there is a junction with Via Vecchia Sferracavallo and Via Capodichino which leads towards the village of Belmonte Castello.
